Bureau of Land Management's First Wilderness Celebrates its 30th Anniversary

As a prelude to the 50th anniversary next year, this summer is the "Summer of Lee" and represents the 30th Anniversary of the designation of the Lee Metcalf Wilderness, the Bureau of Land Management's first wilderness areas named for Senator Lee Metcalf and the last Wilderness designated in Montana.

July 18 - High Lakes Campsite Occupant Survey Training, Bozeman
July 20 - Montana Wilderness Association Bacon Rind Hike
July 20 - Montana Wilderness Association Helmet Hike
July 25 - High Lakes Survey Campsite Occupant Training, Big Sky
July 27 - Montana Wilderness Association Monument Meadows Hike
